Registered Dietitian with Over 10 Years Experience

Hi! I’m Caitlin. I’m a Registered Dietitian with over 10 years of experience. I am an active member of the College of Dietitians of BC. I am also a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), have training in Motivational Interviewing and have completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. I help my clients by providing individualized recommendations using a combination of evidence-based nutrition information, and people’s own knowledge of self. I use motivational interviewing and mindful eating strategies to help people on this journey.

I’m originally from Calgary, and went to the University of British Columbia for my Bachelor in Science with a Major in Dietetics. I moved to Vancouver Island for my 5th year of dietetics, which is where I have been ever since. I’m honoured to live on the unceded territory of the Lekwungen people.

I have extensive experience counselling patients about nutrition and have worked in areas including Bariatric Surgery, Diabetes, Heart Heath and Kidney Disease.

My Food Philosophy

Food is so much more than just nutrition; it’s connection, culture, enjoyment, comfort and more. Knowing that, I’m passionate about empowering people to help them find an eating pattern that is both joyous and nutrient dense.

I’m passionate about whole person health and believe that all pillars of health are important for us to feel our best. Nutrition is so important as it helps fuel us for what we love; whether that be trail running in nature, surfing, connecting with friends or playing board games.

I love combining knowledge of nutritional science with people’s innate wisdom about themselves to help optimize their lives. I’m especially passionate about plant- focused nutrition, movement and mindfulness. I hope to help you nourish yourself and savour your life. I’m honoured to be part of your health journey.
